Frequently Asked Questions

1. How does the repair process work?

Our process is simple 3 steps and designed to get you back on the road fast:

  • Step 1: Ship us your module - Carefully package your unit (or units) (see our packing guide).
  • Step 2: We repair & revive, have your module ready - Our technicians test, repair, and have your module ready for shipping within 2-3 business days.
  • Step 3: We ship it back, plug & play - We return your full set. Just reinstall it - no extra programming needed.
2. What happens if my module is unrepairable?

In the event a module is diagnosed as faulty but deemed unrepairable, we will contact you immediately. We will advise on the availability of a replacement unit, which will include a new quote and time-frame for your approval. Should a replacement be unavailable, the original module will be returned.

3. What is your typical turnaround time?

We understand that vehicle downtime is critical. To minimize this, we process, repair & revive most modules within 2 -3 Business days of receipt. In the event of any unexpected delays, we will proactively contact you with an updated time-frame.

4. Will I need to reprogram the module when I get it back?

Absolutely not. Our repairs are 'plug and play.' We are experts at retaining all original programming, coding, and VIN data. You can just re-install the module and start the car. No expensive dealer tools or reprogramming required.

5. What kind of warranty do you offer?

We stand behind our work. All our repairs are backed by a comprehensive 18-month warranty, giving you the same peace of mind as a new part.

6. What modules do you repair?

We repair all automotive electronic control units. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Engine Control Modules (ECUs or ECMs)
  • Transmission Control Modules (TCMs)
  • Body Control Modules (BCMs)
  • ABS / ESP Modules
  • Immobiliser Units (IMMO)
  • And many more. If it's a control unit, we can test it.
7. How much does a typical repair cost?

Every repair is different, but a typical repair from our lab costs only a fraction of what a new module would cost from a main dealer. You can save your customers hundreds, or even thousands, of dollars.

8. Do I need to send in the full car 'set'?

This depends on the fault. For most standard repairs (e.g., ABS, TCM), only the module itself is needed. For complex immobiliser or 'no-start' issues, we may request the full set (ECU, key, immobiliser, and BCM). Our Product page list all the required additional modules (with images) to be sent.

9. My module is water/fire/corrosion damaged. Can it be fixed?

In many cases, yes. Our lab is equipped with advanced cleaning and repair tools specifically for this. However, severe liquid or fire damage can sometimes make a board unrepairable. We recommend sending us a clear photo before you ship it, and we can give you a preliminary assessment. In some cases, we have to partially repair the damaged unit to extract security and variant data to transfer to another unit.

10. How do you test the modules?

We don't just "fix the fault." We use custom-built simulators and test benches that simulate real-world driving conditions—including speed signals, engine load, and temperature changes. This ensures every function of the module is 100% operational before it leaves our lab.
